Kachhi District Aims to Revitalize Non-Functional Schools and Improve Educational Standards

Kachhi: In a significant move to enhance educational standards, a District Education Group meeting was convened today in Kachhi under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Kachhi, Captain Retired Jameel Ahmed Baloch. The meeting focused on revitalizing non-functional schools, addressing habitual absenteeism among employees, and improving the teaching and learning processes in educational institutions.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting saw participation from key educational and administrative officers including Assistant Commissioners Arslan Khan from Mach, Qazi Parvez Ahmed from Dhader, and Sunny Iftikhar Zaheer, alongside District Education Officer Akhamuddin and Female District Education Officer Ayesha Bigot. Munir Ahmad Rand, the District President of the Teachers Association, along with other relevant officers, also contributed to the discussions.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the concerted efforts required from education officers in the district to make non-functional schools operational again and to ensure that children in the area are provided with quality education. He highlighted the necessity for serious steps to be taken to boost the quality and rate of education, urging education department officers to play a proactive role in eradicating ignorance and enhancing educational activities in Kachhi.

During the meeting, District Education Officer Akhamuddin detailed the teaching and learning processes and discussed the challenges faced by educational institutions in the district. Deputy Commissioner Baloch called for stringent actions against habitually absent employees, including deductions from salaries and departmental actions, to ensure accountability and dedication among the teaching staff.

Furthermore, he called upon UNICEF to assist in addressing the issues in the educational process at affected schools and to help initiate a more effective educational environment. He stressed the critical role of teachers in fostering an educated society and urged them to fulfill their duties diligently and maintain a positive attitude towards educating the new generation.

This meeting marks a pivotal step towards rectifying issues plaguing the educational sector in Kachhi and aims at establishing a robust framework for the betterment of educational standards in the region.
