Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired a meeting at the CDA Headquarters to review ongoing and upcoming development projects in Islamabad. Two new underpasses are planned to improve traffic flow, with work on the Kashmir Chowk Underpass and Faisal Mosque Underpass set to begin next month.

According to Press Information Department: The Interior Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the Rescue 1122 emergency response system in the capital. He directed urgent measures to establish the Capital Emergency Services as a fully operational institution and instructed that construction work on four new centers should start promptly after completing necessary legal formalities.

The meeting also reviewed proposals aimed at increasing the CDA’s sustainable revenue. Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the importance of a long-term revenue model for financial self-sufficiency and instructed officials to focus on practical and viable revenue-generating initiatives. He also stressed the need for the timely completion of the Islamabad Expressway Service Road Project.

A comprehensive briefing was given during the meeting on the progress of various mega development projects and future initiatives planned for Islamabad.
