ISLAMABAD: In a bid to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements, the Islamabad Police have stepped up their search and combing operations across the federal capital. The operations, which are being carried out under the directive of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, have resulted in the thorough checking of over 217 individuals, as well as a number of households, shops, hotels, motorcycles, and vehicles.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the grand search operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. These efforts led to the verification of 120 households, 23 shops, five hotels, 59 motorcycles, and 34 vehicles. Additionally, four individuals deemed suspicious, along with 34 motorcycles and 16 vehicles, were taken to police stations for further verification.

Law enforcement efforts also led to the arrest of individuals found in possession of illegal weapons, with authorities recovering two pistols and accompanying ammunition. SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the objective of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security across Islamabad. The police are conducting similar operations in various areas of the district as part of their ongoing action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
