ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to bolster security and combat crime, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, resulting in the thorough inspection of over 277 individuals and various properties.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, this initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aiming to curb criminal activities and apprehend offenders. The operations were carried out under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight by respective zonal SPs.

During the operations, law enforcement officials checked 83 households, 58 shops, 21 hotels, 109 motorcycles, and 56 vehicles. As a result, 16 individuals and 15 motorcycles deemed suspicious were taken to police stations for further verification. Additionally, arrests were made for the possession of illegal weapons, leading to the recovery of two pistols and accompanying ammunition.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the objective of these efforts is to tighten security measures and suppress criminal activities throughout the city. He noted that similar operations are being conducted in various districts to target criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
