Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested 21 individuals in connection with drug trafficking and illegal weapons possession, recovering significant quantities of drugs and firearms. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made as part of an ongoing crackdown directed by Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at enhancing public safety and security in the federal capital.

The police operation resulted in the recovery of 1,825 grams of Ice, 1,000 grams of heroin, six Kalashnikov rifles, one rifle, and nine pistols of different calibers, along with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the detained individuals, and investigations are ongoing.

In a related effort, a special campaign led to the arrest of one wanted offender with a previous criminal record. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the department’s commitment to citizen safety, highlighting the “No to Weapon” campaign which targets illegal firearm possession and use. Raza encouraged citizens to report suspicious activities to local authorities, fostering community collaboration for enhanced security.
