ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime and crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, resulting in the checking of more than 419 individuals.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations were carried out following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. During the operations, police checked 220 households, 65 shops, 19 hotels, 161 motorcycles, and 68 vehicles.
In addition, 16 individuals and 19 motorcycles deemed suspicious were taken to the police station for further verification. SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that these actions are part of a larger effort to enhance security and target criminal elements within the city.
The operations are part of ongoing efforts to address crime, including actions against land grabbers and drug dealers, throughout the district.
