Islamabad: In a bid to curb crime and enhance security, Islamabad Police have arrested 13 individuals as part of ongoing operations in the federal capital. The arrests include nine individuals involved in drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. Police recovered 2,200 grams of chars and three pistols with ammunition. Cases have been registered, with investigations ongoing.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these efforts follow directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing crime prevention and public safety. The operations also led to the arrest of nine wanted offenders, targeting proclaimed offenders and individuals with criminal records.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza highlighted the police’s commitment to citizen safety, underscoring the “No to Weapon” campaign, which tackles illegal weapons and aerial firing. The police are also focused on apprehending offenders and ensuring justice access for residents.
The SSP urged citizens to report suspicious activities to local police stations or the Pucar-15 helpline, fostering a collaborative effort between law enforcement and the community to enhance security in Islamabad.
