Islamabad: In an effort to bolster road safety and ensure effective enforcement of traffic laws, the Islamabad Traffic Police are intensifying their crackdown on illegal and double parking while also promoting helmet use among motorcyclists. The initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, focusing on enhancing the safety of citizens.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, Chief Traffic Officer Kainaat Azhar Khan has been at the forefront of overseeing actions against vehicles that obstruct traffic flow. Khan has urged officers to strictly enforce traffic laws and appealed to citizens to utilize designated parking areas to facilitate smoother traffic movement.

The ongoing campaign encouraging helmet use has reportedly yielded positive outcomes, with helmet usage among motorcyclists rising significantly. Khan emphasized the importance of wearing helmets as a critical safety measure rather than solely a legal obligation. She encouraged motorcyclists to opt for standard-quality helmets for their protection.

Khan further highlighted that adherence to traffic regulations, responsible driving, and public cooperation are crucial elements in enhancing road safety and optimizing the traffic management system in Islamabad.
