Islamabad Police Intensify Citywide Search Operations, Over 400 Individuals Checked


ISLAMABAD: In an effort to enhance security and crack down on criminal activity, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, resulting in the comprehensive checking of over 404 individuals.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out under the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight from the respective zonal SPs. The operations targeted various areas within the city, leading to the thorough examination of 126 households, 61 shops, 16 hotels, 263 motorcycles, and 85 vehicles.



During the operations, authorities identified and transferred seven suspicious individuals and 18 motorcycles to the police station for further verification. Additionally, arrests were made concerning the possession of illegal weapons, with two pistols and accompanying ammunition recovered.



SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized that these measures aim to tighten security and exert pressure on criminal elements within the city. He noted that the police are conducting similar operations across different areas of the district, maintaining a firm stance against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
