ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to combat crime and apprehend criminal elements, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across various areas of the federal capital. This initiative, led by Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, involved the systematic checking of over 329 individuals.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by respective zonal SPs. The comprehensive searches covered 104 households, 28 shops, 23 hotels, 240 motorcycles, and 75 vehicles. As a result, 12 individuals deemed suspicious and 21 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.

In addition, the operations led to the arrest of individuals in possession of illegal weapons, with two pistols and accompanying ammunition being confiscated. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that these operations aim to intensify the crackdown on criminal activities and bolster security measures citywide. The police have pledged to continue their indiscriminate actions against criminal elements, including land grabbers and drug dealers, throughout the district.
