ISLAMABAD: Funeral prayers for Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Maqsood Ali Khan of the Islamabad Police, who died in a traffic accident while on duty, were held at Police Lines Headquarters in Islamabad. The ceremony was attended by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and other senior police officers and officials.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, a contingent of Islamabad Police presented a salute to the fallen officer, and IGP Rizvi laid a floral wreath on the body, offering prayers for his ranks in the afterlife. After the ceremony, Khan’s remains were transported to his native area for burial with full official honors.
Maqsood Ali Khan, who was serving in the Islamabad Traffic Police, sustained critical injuries in a traffic accident during his official duties and later passed away during treatment. IGP Rizvi emphasized that the sacrifices of police officials who die in the line of duty will be remembered and respected. He assured that the Islamabad Police would support the martyr’s family and directed officers to ensure their welfare.
The department pledged continued support to the families of its martyrs, highlighting its commitment to their well-being.
