ISLAMABAD: Over 268 individuals were checked during a series of search operations across various areas of Islamabad, as part of an intensified effort by the city’s police to curb crime and crack down on criminal activity.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out following special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs.

During the search operations, authorities checked 138 households, 21 shops, one hotel, 127 motorcycles, and 55 vehicles. Four suspicious individuals, two motorcycles, and one car were taken to the police station for further verification. Additionally, individuals involved in the possession of illegal weapons were apprehended, with two pistols and ammunition recovered.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the goal of these operations is to tighten control over criminal elements and enhance security across the city. The Islamabad Police is conducting these operations in different areas throughout the district, continuing its actions against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
