ISLAMABAD: In an effort to address public concerns efficiently, the Islamabad Police have organized open courts, providing a platform for citizens to present their grievances directly to senior police officials. This initiative, aimed at ensuring timely resolution of issues, is led by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ali Waseem and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the open courts are part of a broader directive from Federal Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry. These sessions are designed to provide immediate relief to citizens by addressing their concerns directly with the police leadership.

During the open court sessions, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem and SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza listened to citizens’ complaints and instructed officers to resolve the issues promptly. This approach is part of an open-door policy where citizens can present their issues without prior appointments or recommendations. Additionally, the IGP Complaint Cell 1715 remains available for registering complaints.

DIG Waseem emphasized the importance of merit-based resolutions and encouraged citizens to utilize the open courts without hesitation. He reiterated the commitment of the Islamabad Police to engage with the community and address their concerns at their convenience. SSP Raza highlighted the police’s zero-tolerance policy against violence and affirmed that equality and rule of law would be maintained.

The initiative seeks to enhance public trust in the police force, ensuring that the protection of citizens’ rights and safety remains a top priority.
