ISLAMABAD: A closing ceremony was held at the Islamabad Traffic Police headquarters to mark the conclusion of an internship program under the Friends of Police Programme. The event was attended by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Kainat Azhar Khan, who distributed certificates to participating students from the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) and Bahria University.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the internship offered students an introduction to various departments within the Islamabad Traffic Police. Participants received briefings on policing and traffic management, alongside practical insights into traffic law enforcement and public facilitation services.
During the ceremony, CTO Kainat Azhar Khan commended the students for their engagement and distributed certificates to those who successfully completed the program. She emphasized the importance of educating the younger generation on practical policing and traffic management to promote awareness of traffic rules and responsible citizenship.
Kainat Azhar Khan reiterated that creating awareness among young people about compliance with traffic laws and road safety is a key priority for the Islamabad Traffic Police.
