Islamabad, A two-day workshop for officials of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), organized by Pakistan’s National Assembly, is currently underway in Islamabad. The workshop has drawn participants from several member countries of the ECO.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event is seeing attendance from parliamentary officials from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Turkiye. Additionally, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are represented by their diplomats stationed in Pakistan.
The primary aim of this workshop is to highlight the objectives of the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS). It focuses on the Institute’s role in enhancing parliamentary services in Pakistan and the broader ECO region. This gathering serves as an important platform for collaboration and learning among member countries, strengthening parliamentary ties and cooperation within the ECO.
