Islamabad Hosts 8th SIFC-Planning Ministry Meeting to Boost Investment Environment

Islamabad, The 8th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), led by Federal Minister for Planning and Development Muhammad Sami Saeed, commenced its two-day session in Islamabad on Wednesday. The meeting is focused on reviewing the progress of various policy-level initiatives and projects under the auspices of the SIFC.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, representatives from concerned ministries presented updates on various projects during the meeting. They emphasized the need for concrete measures to enhance the investment climate in Pakistan. The SIFC Executive Committee acknowledged the progress made in different sectors and praised the efforts in engaging with both local and international investors.

The Committee also examined the progress in finalizing viable projects under Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Framework Agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. It urged relevant Ministries to expedite efforts to ensure these agreements are profitable and beneficial.

Moreover, the SIFC Executive Committee reviewed the recently initiated initiatives in key sectors. It directed stakeholders to take prompt and effective action to attract investment in these areas, underlining the importance of swift progress in bolstering Pakistan’s investment environment.

The meeting in Islamabad represents a significant step in strengthening investment facilitation and enhancing the overall economic landscape of Pakistan.
