Islamabad, Federal Budget Raises Minimum Wage, Boosts Salaries and Pensions


Islamabad, In the new budgetary proposals presented to the National Assembly, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced a comprehensive salary and pension increase, along with a significant rise in minimum wages.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the government has approved a 25 percent salary increase for government employees from Grade 1 to 16 and a 20 percent hike for those from Grade 17 to 22.



Additionally, the minimum wage has been increased from 32,000 to 37,000 rupees, aiming to improve the living standards of the lower-income brackets. The budget also proposes a 15 percent raise in the pension for retired government employees, reflecting the administration’s effort to address inflation and enhance the welfare of its workforce.
