BENGALURU, A sub-inspector with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) tragically took his own life in the Karnataka state, firing his service weapon upon himself at the New Mangalore Port Trust area.
According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, the officer, a 58-year-old native of Raichur district, had been deployed on the night shift at the main gate of NMPT. After completing his shift, he entered a washroom situated near the main gate and subsequently took the fatal action, as confirmed by officials on site.
Local law enforcement has initiated an investigation, but as of now, they have not determined any specific reasons or motives behind the officer’s tragic decision.
