Indian Authorities Demolish Home and Arrest Nine in Kashmir Crackdown

Jammu: New Delhi-imposed administration in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has demolished a two-storey residential house belonging to a civilian in Jammu district. The action, which occurred in the Birju Chak (Bishnah) area, targeted the home of Gulzar Ahmad, also known locally as Lahu Gujar, following direct orders from the Lieutenant Governor.

Authorities claim that Lahu Gujar was involved in a clash with Indian police on April 9 in the Samba district, providing the rationale for the demolition. The incident is part of a broader operation by Indian police, who conducted search operations and house raids, resulting in the arrest of nine individuals, including three women, in Balole Khad and Gujjar Basti in the Bari Brahmana area of Samba district. The arrests were made under allegations of involvement in the same clash.

These actions highlight the stringent measures taken by Indian officials to control dissent and maintain order in regions characterized by tensions and resistance against Indian rule. The demolition and arrests have drawn attention to the ongoing conflict and the Indian government’s strategy in dealing with unrest in IIOJK.
