Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry conducted a comprehensive citywide visit to examine the law and order situation, security arrangements, and operational preparedness of the police force in the federal capital. Senior police officers joined the IGP during this assessment.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP met with police officers and personnel at various security duty locations, inspecting the security and policing arrangements. Senior officers briefed him on the current security situation, ongoing police operations, and field deployment across the city.

In light of potential law and order challenges, the IGP reviewed operational readiness, response mechanisms, and field force deployment. He instructed officers to stay fully alert and ensure effective responses to any disruptions.

Captain (Retd.) Chaudhry emphasized the use of all available resources to protect citizens and maintain peace in Islamabad. He urged police officers and personnel to perform their duties with responsibility, professionalism, and vigilance.

Subsequently, a meeting of senior officers was held under the IGP’s chairmanship to discuss law and order maintenance, action against criminal elements, citizen facilitation, and enhancing public-friendly policing. The IGP directed officers to prioritize crime prevention, timely police service delivery, and uphold professionalism and courtesy in public interactions, reaffirming the police’s commitment to protecting citizens and strengthening law enforcement practices.
