Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has called for improved traffic management and stricter law enforcement in the city. During a visit to the Traffic Police Headquarters, he emphasized the need for better traffic facilities and citizen-friendly policing, while maintaining professionalism and discipline among officers.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP was briefed by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan on the performance of the Islamabad Traffic Police. The IGP instructed that driving licence services be enhanced and public awareness campaigns on traffic rules and road safety be sustained. He underscored that the primary objectives include ensuring smooth traffic flow, safeguarding citizens’ lives and property, and effectively enforcing traffic laws.

During a subsequent high-level meeting at Safe City Islamabad, attended by senior police officers, Captain (Retd.) Chaudhry received updates on crime and law and order across the district. He directed the officers to bolster crime prevention measures and expedite the resolution of citizen complaints. He reiterated the importance of professional and disciplined conduct in fulfilling their duties, urging the utilization of all resources to meet these objectives.
