IGP Islamabad Holds Open Court to Address Public Concerns

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi conducted an open court at the Central Police Office in Islamabad to address grievances from both citizens and police officers. He emphasized immediate action and the importance of resolving issues based on merit.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the open court was part of an open-door policy aimed at facilitating the public. During the session, the IGP listened to various complaints and issued direct instructions to officers for resolution. He assured that the priority is to address citizens’ problems promptly and fairly, inviting anyone with police-related issues to attend the open court sessions.

The IGP instructed officers to resolve complaints within a specified timeframe and mandated sending reports back to the Central Police Office. Furthermore, he directed Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to strictly follow office hours for public interaction and ensure timely and merit-based resolutions.

IGP Rizvi highlighted that the Islamabad Police is implementing several initiatives to assist citizens, with daily open courts serving as a key component in addressing issues efficiently.
