Zardari Extends Greetings to South Africa on National Day


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari sent a message of congratulations to South African President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa and the citizens of South Africa in recognition of their National Day. The message highlighted the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and South Africa, emphasizing shared values and mutual cooperation.



According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari’s message, delivered on behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, underscored the importance Pakistan places on its relationship with South Africa. The ties between the two nations are built on mutual trust and a joint commitment to peace, development, and multilateral cooperation. The President recalled Pakistan’s historical stance against apartheid, noting that as early as 1948, Pakistan refused to recognize the apartheid regime.



President Zardari also expressed optimism about the future of Pakistan-South Africa relations, expressing confidence that the bonds between the two countries will continue to strengthen, leading to increased prosperity and well-being for their citizens.
