Lahore, July 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has paid tribute to the eternal sacrifice of SHO Muhammad Hayat Khan who was martyred while on duty in Bhakkar. IG Punjab said that dutiful and brave officers and officials like Muhammad Hayat Khan, who got martyred during duty, are the pride of the police department.
Taking notice of the incident, IG Punjab sought a report from RPO Sargodha. Rao Sardar Ali Khan ordered to form a special team for the quick arrest of the accused. He directed that the accused should be arrested and brought to justice immediately.
According to the details, DPO Bhakkar Muhammad Ali Raza said that SHO City police station Bhakkar Muhammad Hayat Khan was chasing the accused who snatched the motorcycle on Khansar Road when the accused opened fire.
The bullet fired by the accused hit Muhammad Hayat Khan on his head and killed him. DPO Bhakkar said that the area has been cordoned off and the operation is going on to arrest the accused. DPO Bhakkar further said that SI Muhammad Hayat Khan has left a widow and three sons among the mourners, the eldest son is 12 years old while the youngest is three years old.
