Lahore: During a significant meeting at the Central Police Office today, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, emphasized the importance of addressing the welfare needs of police employees and their families. He instructed senior officials to expedite processing their requests, ensuring timely relief and support for the workforce that constitutes the police family.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar met with various police employees and their families, directly listening to their concerns and immediately issuing directives to resolve their issues. These included orders for departmental transfers, recruitment under family claims, medical assistance, and financial support, reflecting a proactive approach to internal welfare and morale.
IG Punjab took several decisive actions, such as instructing the DIG Establishment to facilitate a transfer request from ASI Muhammad Iqbal and directing the DPO Muzaffargarh to assist in the departmental hiring of a retired Sub-Inspector’s daughter. He also ordered the DIG Welfare to address medical treatment requests and other welfare concerns, including support for publishing books and providing housing and compensation to the widow of a fallen constable.
This meeting underscores a robust commitment by Punjab police leadership to not only maintain close relations with their staff but also to foster an environment where the welfare of police families is given paramount importance. Dr. Anwar’s directive to his officers to ensure swift action on applications aims to bolster trust and efficiency within the force.
