Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori officially inaugurated the Road to Makkah Project at Karachi Airport, marking a significant facilitation upgrade for Hajj pilgrims traveling from Pakistan.
According to Sindh Governor House, the ceremony was attended by key figures including General Salman, the Saudi Ambassador, the Consul General of Karachi, and other officials. The Road to Makkah Project is a pivotal development that allows pilgrims to complete their immigration processes directly at Karachi Airport, significantly easing their travel experience.
Governor Tesori expressed his gratitude towards the Saudi government for extending such a facility to Pakistani pilgrims, highlighting the deep-rooted ties between the two nations. He noted that the elderly could now avoid the immigration counters, further simplifying their journey to the holy city of Makkah.
In his speech, the Governor also extended an invitation to the crown person of Saudi Arabia to visit Karachi during his upcoming trip to Islamabad, underscoring the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation in Islam. He emphasized that refusing to apologize is contrary to Muslim values, reflecting on the spiritual and communal benefits of the Road to Makkah initiative.
