Governor Sindh Addresses Journalists’ Concerns with Local Government Reporters Association

Karachi: Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi engaged in discussions with a delegation from the Local Government Reporters Association at the Governor House, focusing on journalists’ issues, media coverage of local government affairs, and other media-related matters.

According to Sindh Governor House, the meeting was led by the Association’s President, Suleman Saadat Khan. Governor Hashmi emphasized the crucial role that reporters play in informing the public about governmental actions and bringing public issues to governmental attention. He highlighted that responsible journalism is essential for societal improvement, and journalists serve as a critical link between the public and the government.

Suleman Saadat Khan advocated for the Association’s members to receive their rightful share of federal government-provided facilities. Governor Hashmi assured the delegation that he would advocate for their concerns with the Federal Ministry of Information.

The delegation included Vice President Afzal Parvez, Secretary Muhammad Ali Hafeez, Joint Secretary Syed Fareed Alam, Finance Secretary Rashid Sadi, and Governing Body members Sohail Rab, Talha Makhdoom, Shoaib Mukhtar, Hafeez Ansari, and Bashir Mir Jat.
