Lahore: The government is set to fully adhere to the Islamabad High Court’s verdict concerning the upcoming long march, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced. His remarks came amidst rising tensions surrounding the planned event, which he claims could have adverse effects on the nation’s economy and the general populace.

According to Radio Pakistan, Naqvi addressed a news conference in Lahore where he emphasized the government’s commitment to implementing the court’s decision “in letter and spirit.” He further noted that many leaders within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, organizers of the long march, are reportedly reluctant to participate in the event.

The Interior Minister’s statements underscore the government’s stance on maintaining order and mitigating potential economic disruptions as political activities intensify in the region.
