Islamabad, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Quaid of PML(N), has made his way back to Pakistan after spending four years in the United Kingdom.
According to a news release by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Nawaz Sharif journeyed back to his homeland via a specially chartered flight that routed through Dubai, landing in Islamabad. Before embarking on his trip to Pakistan, Sharif had taken precautions, ensuring he had protective bail granted to him by the Islamabad High Court. Upon setting foot in Islamabad, he promptly completed all mandatory legal and bio-metric procedures. Subsequent to his return, he departed for Lahore. Once there, he took the stage to address a significant crowd gathered at the Minar-e-Pakistan ground.
For context, Nawaz Sharif had resigned from the Prime Ministerial office on July 28, 2017. Subsequent to his resignation, he faced incarceration on various charges. However, he was later granted the liberty to leave the country for medical treatment.
