New York: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, during the launch of the COP31 Action Agenda, affirmed Pakistan’s endorsement of the agenda, citing its alignment with the nation’s climate objectives and the Nationally Determined Contribution 3.0. He pointed out Pakistan’s climate vulnerabilities and highlighted shared goals such as clean energy, electrification, renewable energy expansion, energy-efficient infrastructure, climate-resilient urban areas, climate education, food security, and sustainable agriculture.
According to Press Information Department, Senator Aurangzeb welcomed the introduction of the Climate Implementation Bridge, designed to convert NDC commitments into feasible projects. He noted that the primary challenge now is not the creation of plans but their successful execution. The minister praised the agenda’s defined action points and performance indicators, labeling it as practical and focused on tangible outcomes.
