Field Marshal Visits Kurram to Celebrate Eid with Troops, Emphasizes Security Commitment


Kurram: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS and CDF, marked the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr by visiting Kurram to spend time with the troops and officers stationed there. He participated in Eid prayers and prayed for the stability and prosperity of Pakistan.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the Field Marshal extended Eid greetings to the troops and officers, commending their dedication and professionalism in national defense. He praised their efforts and achievements during Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, which aims to dismantle terrorist networks and secure peace in border regions. The Field Marshal stressed the importance of not allowing terrorists from Afghan sanctuaries to threaten Pakistan’s security, reiterating the nation’s commitment to regional peace and stability. He emphasized that Afghan soil must not be used by hostile elements against Pakistan.



The Field Marshal acknowledged the formations’ efforts, attributing operational successes to the sacrifices of martyrs and the resolve of officers and soldiers committed to national security. He expressed pride in the troops’ steadfastness and reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Upon his arrival, the Field Marshal was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar.
