Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Visits Quetta Garrison to Review Security and Development Efforts


Quetta: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, visited Quetta Garrison where he engaged with commanders and commanding officers of the field formations. The visit focused on reviewing the security environment as well as the operational preparedness of the forces stationed in the region.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, during the visit, the Field Marshal was briefed extensively on the current security situation, operational readiness, and ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability across Balochistan. Discussions also covered the importance of institutional coordination and support for the socio-economic development of the province.



Field Marshal Munir expressed appreciation for the professionalism and commitment displayed by the troops, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration among Law Enforcement Agencies and state institutions to sustain peace and foster economic growth. He reiterated that the peace, prosperity, and well-being of Balochistan’s people remain central to the state’s objectives, highlighting that a stable and secure environment is essential for development initiatives and economic opportunities.



The Field Marshal paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and praised the dedication of officers and troops in fulfilling their duties. Upon his arrival in Quetta, he was received by the Commander of Quetta Corps.
