Islamabad: Today, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi oversaw the preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, inspecting several key areas throughout the city to ensure they meet the required standards for the international event. The minister’s review focused on major routes such as D-Chowk, Constitution Avenue, Murree Road, and Islamabad Expressway, with particular attention to their decoration, cleanliness, and security.
According to Press Information Department, Minister Naqvi directed the involved officials to expedite construction and decorative work and to maintain high standards of cleanliness across Islamabad, especially along VIP routes and the Red Zone. He also called for the removal of encroachments to improve the city’s appearance. Islamabad Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with other senior officials, provided updates on the progress of these efforts and reaffirmed their dedication to ensuring that the summit’s logistics and aesthetics meet international expectations.
