ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem has emphasized public facilitation, effective dispute resolution, and environmental responsibility in recent initiatives aimed at improving community relations and promoting sustainability.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem conducted an open court at his office, which was attended by a significant number of citizens who voiced their issues and complaints. The DIG addressed their concerns and provided immediate directives to the relevant officers for a prompt response. He assured citizens that his office remains accessible for direct communication without any prerequisites, emphasizing the importance of timely and lawful resolution of public grievances.

In addition, DIG Waseem visited the office of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) and engaged with Chairman of the Reconciliation Committee Tayyab Malik and other officials. He highlighted the ADRC’s role as a significant platform for resolving disputes through mutual understanding and dialogue. The DIG instructed further strengthening of the reconciliation mechanism to ensure swift justice and facilitation for citizens.

Furthermore, the DIG inaugurated a plantation campaign by planting a sapling at his office. He underscored the importance of trees for a sustainable future and called for collective efforts in promoting a greener environment. Citizens and police personnel were urged to participate in plantation activities and ensure the upkeep of the planted saplings.
