DIG Islamabad Ali Wasim Assumes Office, Emphasizes Law Enforcement and Citizen Safety

Islamabad: Ali Wasim, the newly appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for Islamabad, has officially taken charge, pledging to enhance policing efforts and ensure the safety of the city’s residents.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, DIG Wasim underscored the primary duty of the police force to uphold the rule of law, safeguard citizens’ lives and property, and deliver prompt and effective services. He instructed officers to carry out their responsibilities with integrity and professionalism, emphasizing that there would be no leniency in law enforcement.

DIG Wasim highlighted the importance of police officers maintaining respectful and professional interactions with the public while prioritizing the resolution of grievances. He affirmed that all resources would be mobilized to combat crime, maintain order, and protect citizens. Furthermore, he outlined plans for the police to operate as a cohesive unit to prevent crime, enforce laws, and enhance service quality.

The newly appointed DIG also directed officers to ensure a strong police presence, improve patrol systems, address criminal activities, and resolve citizens’ concerns swiftly. Monitoring the law and order situation closely and adopting effective strategies for crime prevention were identified as critical tasks for the officers.
