Concern expressed over increasing rights violations by Indian troops in IIOJK

Srinagar, July 02, 2023 (PPI-OT): All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Mohammad Yousuf Naqash has expressed concern over the increasing human rights violations by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Mohammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement issued in Srinagar said Kashmiris are oppressed people and they would continue their journey towards freedom from India till complete success.

He also expressed sadness at the United Nations’ helplessness and criticized its failure to enforce resolutions regarding Kashmir. The United Nations’ double standard had damaged its reputation, he added. Yousuf Naqash also praised Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram’s statement, questioning the existence of the United Nations due to the failure to implement resolutions on Kashmir and Palestine.

“The criminal silence of the United Nations has only made India more aggressive, instead of discouraging its actions. As Kashmiris, we have endured Indian oppression for decades because we refuse to accept Indian slavery. We have the right to continue our struggle for complete freedom from India, despite their oppression and coercion”, he maintained.

He expressed serious concern about the increasing anti-Islam and anti-Kashmir activities carried out by local Bharatiya Janata Party operatives in Balahama, Srinagar. It is important to note that these operatives have vandalized imambargahs and other holy sites in the area. This condemnable series of events has begun and the people of Kashmir will not hesitate to sacrifice their lives to protect their entire identity.
