Islamabad, The Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) and Khas Technology Solutions (KTS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on developing IT-enabled solutions and high-skilled human resource development. The partnership, formalized on May 16, 2024, focuses on online professional training programs across a range of technical and medical fields using KTS’s proprietary ‘iqrasity’ Learning Management System (LMS).

According to Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in The South, the agreement was signed by COMSATS’ Executive Director, Ambassador Dr. M. Nafees Zakaria, and KTS’s CEO, Dr. Ashraf Masood. The collaboration aims to enhance the capacities of COMSATS Software Solutions (CSS) and bolster the technical resource base of COMSATS to support its member states and network of Science and Technology centers. The ‘iqrasity’ LMS will be utilized to facilitate professional training across the 27 developing countries that comprise COMSATS, offering new avenues for advancement in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), cyber security, cloud computing, and more.
