COAS General Syed Asim Munir Affirms Armed Forces’ Readiness and Calls for Youth Support

Islamabad, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, addressing the Pakistan National Youth Conference in Islamabad today, declared the armed forces’ full preparedness against any threat or conspiracy. He emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to its sovereignty and expressed confidence in the nation’s bright future and rich resources.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Munir spoke about Pakistan’s abundant mineral resources, agricultural wealth, and young human capital. He expressed his pride in interacting with the country’s future leaders, referring to them as the ‘eagles of Iqbal,’ in reference to the national poet Allama Iqbal. The Army Chief underscored the unique identity of Pakistan, rooted in its religion, civilization, and culture, and cautioned against adopting Western cultural norms uncritically.

He encouraged the youth to have faith in their country, culture, and civilization, reminding them of their heritage as the embodiment of the visions of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-i-Azam. The Army Chief also stressed the importance of the nation’s support in combating terrorism, highlighting the role of the youth as crucial partners in this endeavor.

General Munir raised concerns about the negative propaganda spread through social media, which aims to sow uncertainty and hopelessness. He urged the youth to verify news before sharing and to engage in positive thinking and research to prevent societal chaos.

The event saw the youth participants enthusiastically chanting slogans in support of Pakistan, the Pakistan Army, and Quaid-i-Azam, reflecting their patriotic spirit and solidarity with the nation’s armed forces.
