KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah attended the 165th Reunion of St. Patrick’s High School, marking a nostalgic return to one of Karachi’s longstanding educational institutions.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, the event celebrated the school’s long-standing contributions to education and nation-building. Upon arrival, Chief Minister Shah was received by Archbishop Benny Travas and Fr. Mario A. Rodrigues, among others, and he interacted with fellow alumni, revisiting past experiences from his time at the school.
In his address, Mr. Shah expressed pride in his alma mater, describing his return as “coming home.” He emphasized the institution’s role in shaping multiple generations of Pakistanis by instilling values such as discipline, integrity, and service. He noted that St. Patrick’s has historically provided quality education while nurturing character and promoting tolerance. Its alumni have significantly contributed to various fields including public service, business, and the arts.
Mr. Shah paid tribute to the school’s teachers and administrators for their dedication and sacrifices, emphasizing that the school’s success is due to their commitment to future generations. He congratulated the St. Patrick’s community on the milestone and expressed hope for the institution’s continued role as a beacon of learning and progress.
The ceremony concluded with a cake cutting and the launching of the school logo by the chief minister, reinforcing a commitment to uphold the school’s rich legacy.
