Climate Education Must Be a Priority, Says Pakistan’s Education Minister at London Forum

London, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Pakistan’s Federal Education Minister, addressed the urgency of climate education during a session at the Education World Forum (EWF) 2024.

According to Press Information Department, Siddiqui provided an overview of the educational and environmental challenges facing Pakistan, the world’s fifth most populous country. He highlighted the innovative measures being implemented to foster climate resilience through education, including the Clean Green School Program, Punjab Province’s introduction of climate change as a subject with the Green Book, and Sindh Province’s Climate Crisis Education Data Initiative.
