LAHORE: The Chinese Consul General in Lahore, Sun Yan, met with Ali Dar, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab on AI and Special Initiatives, to discuss enhancing bilateral ties with a focus on cooperation in Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies, and innovation. The meeting aimed to explore opportunities for collaboration in agriculture, real estate, technology exchange, and innovation.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Ali Dar emphasized that under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s AI Vision 2029, Punjab is integrating into the global AI and technology ecosystem. Enhanced cooperation with China is seen as crucial for advancing Punjab’s AI agenda. Both parties highlighted the importance of practical engagement between Punjab and Chinese educational institutions to foster technology cooperation.
The discussions underscored the need for practical partnerships between Pakistan and China in AI and advanced technologies. Ali Dar noted Punjab’s efforts to engage with global technology companies, investors, and educational institutions to create opportunities through AI and digital innovation. This international cooperation is expected to promote innovation, investment, and employment for youth, supporting the province’s transformation under AI Vision 2029.
