Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal and IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan visited queen of Kohsar Murree on third day of Eid 

Lahore, July 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that Punjab Police has provided best security and guidance to the citizens coming to Queen of Kohsar Murree on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. He said that the Murree Tourism Police contingent has been working day and night to help, guide and protect the tourists due to which the citizens have been able to enjoy the Eid holidays in a peaceful atmosphere.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan commended the traffic wardens and tourism police personnel on duty in Murree and said that along with maintaining law and order, the convenience and guidance of tourists should be given priority and the citizens should be dedicated to the cause of service. He expressed these views while giving instructions to RPO Rawalpindi, CPO Rawalpindi and his team on the occasion of his visit to Queen Kohsar Murree along with Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal.

According to details, Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal and IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan visited Queen Kohsar Murree on the third day of Eid and the police and administration chiefs reviewed the arrangements made for tourists during the Eid holidays in Murree.

Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal directed that all resources should be utilized for the convenience of tourists. He said that the police and the administration should be fully prepared to deal with any situation as per the advice of the Meteorological Department. Commissioner Rawalpindi Noorul Amin Mengal, Deputy Commissioner and CPO Rawalpindi briefed on the arrangements made for the tourists.

Noorul Amin Mengal said that best arrangements have been made for the tourists coming to Murree and the best strategy has been adopted in collaboration with local traders against overcharging, thugs and parking mafia.

Commissioner Rawalpindi Noorul Amin Mengal further said that a special shuttle service has been launched for the convenience of tourists, tourism desks have also been set up for guidance while more buses have been added to the shuttle service as the number of tourists has multiplied.

RPO Rawalpindi Imran Ahmar said that Murree Tourism Police is enthusiastically assisting and guiding tourists. On the third day of Eid in Murree, there were about 6,000 vehicles while entry of vehicles in excess of capacity was banned.

RPO Rawalpindi further said that additional police and wardens have been deployed in Murree and smooth flow of traffic has been ensured. The Chief Secretary and IG Punjab along with Commissioner Rawalpindi and RPO Rawalpindi inspected the Tourism Help Desk at Lower Topa.

The Chief Secretary Punjab expressed satisfaction over the facilities provided in the bus and shuttle service launched for Murree. The Chief Secretary and IG Punjab also visited the shuttle service Lower Topa, Chhika Gali and Mall Road GPO Chowk and reviewed the measures taken for the convenience and safety of the tourists.
