Chief Ministers Tour Supreme Court’s Public Facilitation Center to Observe Judicial Reforms

Islamabad: Following their participation in the National Conference on Prison Reform organized by the National Judicial (Policy Making) Committee (NJPMC) on July 2, 2026, the Chief Ministers of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh visited the Public Facilitation Center (PFC) of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The visit, attended by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan, allowed the provincial leaders to observe the Supreme Court’s efforts to improve public service delivery and access to justice.

According to Press Information Department, the Chief Ministers were briefed on the PFC’s one-window service model designed to consolidate various judicial services. This model aims to simplify court procedures, minimize turnaround times, and enhance accessibility and transparency for both litigants and the public.

During their tour, the dignitaries examined several units within the facility, including the Information and Copy Desk, Institution Desk, banking and postal services, and e-Payment support services. They were informed about the center’s digital workflow, which is intended to ensure efficient request processing and maintain transparency and accountability in service delivery.

The Supreme Court’s broader digital initiatives were also highlighted, such as the e-Payment system for court fees. This system replaces traditional payment methods with a secure digital platform, part of a larger modernization agenda focused on leveraging technology for improved judicial administration and efficiency.

The Chief Ministers engaged with officials and staff at the center, expressing appreciation for the Supreme Court’s reform efforts. They recognized the significance of innovation and technology in making justice services more accessible and responsive to public needs.
