Over 232,000 Register for Hajj 2027, Ministry Reports


Islamabad: More than 232,000 individuals have registered for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage in 2027, completing the process within the first two weeks of the registration campaign, according to recent data from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.



According to Radio Pakistan, the registration was facilitated through the National Information Technology Board’s mobile application, Pak Hajj, and the online Hajj Portal. This digital approach allowed applicants to complete their registration from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need to visit banks or government offices.



The Ministry’s spokesperson detailed that 175,000 registrants opted for the government Hajj scheme, while around 58,000 chose the private scheme. Among the total number of applicants, 136,000 are men, and nearly 96,000 are women, reflecting a broad participation from different segments of the population.
