Tehran: Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, met with Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, in Tehran to discuss bilateral relations, regional stability, and global peace. The discussions covered various topics, including enhancing parliamentary cooperation and addressing challenges facing the Muslim community globally.
According to Press Information Department, Chairman Senate conveyed his condolences to Iran over the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader, expressing solidarity with the Iranian government and people. He highlighted the importance of peace and prosperity for regional development and emphasized strengthening ties through increased cooperation in parliamentary exchanges, economic ventures, and cultural connections.
Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf acknowledged Pakistan’s support during challenging times and praised the longstanding friendship between the two nations. He reiterated Iran’s high regard for Pakistan and its people, underscoring the mutual respect and reliability that characterize their relationship.
