Islamabad: The Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan convened a consultative meeting at the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Branch Registry Karachi, to discuss judicial sector development projects in Karachi. The meeting, attended by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Sindh, Mr. Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, and representatives from the legal community, focused on initiatives to enhance judicial infrastructure and court facilities in Sindh.

According to Press Information Department, the stakeholders deliberated on projects such as establishing Women Facilitation Centres, relocating courts to appropriate premises, and upgrading judicial infrastructure. The discussions aimed to gather input from the Bar to inform the planning and implementation phases of these initiatives.

The Chief Justice emphasized the importance of meaningful consultation and consensus with stakeholders, particularly the Bar, in achieving the objectives of judicial reforms and development. He highlighted the necessity of sustained engagement with the legal fraternity to ensure that the projects and reforms are practical and responsive to the needs of court users.

The Bar representatives expressed their appreciation for the inclusive approach and shared their insights on the proposed projects. They pledged to maintain close collaboration with the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the High Court of Sindh to ensure the successful completion and implementation of the judicial sector projects and reforms.

The meeting underscored the commitment of both the Bench and the Bar to advance judicial reforms through ongoing consultation, striving to develop justice institutions in Sindh that are accessible, efficient, and responsive to citizens’ needs.
