ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has praised Pakistan’s minority communities for their contributions to the nation’s development, prosperity, and progress. In his message on National Minorities Day, he highlighted the integral role these communities play in the country’s national identity and collective strength.

According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani emphasized that Pakistan’s Constitution guarantees equal rights and religious freedom for all citizens. He invoked the vision of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who imagined a nation where citizens enjoy equal status and opportunities without discrimination. Gilani acknowledged the significant contributions of minority communities in sectors like education, health, defense, and the economy, stating these efforts are a source of national pride.
