Islamabad, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman Senate of Pakistan, is set to attend the International Symposium in Beijing on October 24, 2023, marking the 10th anniversary of China’s Principle of Amity, Sincerity, Mutual Benefit, and Inclusiveness in Neighbourhood Diplomacy as proposed by President Xi Jinping. This significant attendance emphasizes Pakistan’s commitment to fostering stronger ties with China.

According to a news release by Senate of Pakistan, Sanjrani has received a special invitation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. The event, taking place at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, will spotlight Chairman Senate as its Chief Guest. Sanjrani is scheduled to address attendees during the opening ceremony, offering insights into enhancing diplomatic relationships among neighbouring countries.

While the Symposium aims to commemorate a decade of China’s diplomatic principle, Chairman Senate’s participation goes beyond mere attendance. Sanjrani will meet with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and engage in dialogues with leaders of various state-owned Chinese enterprises, especially those from the mining sector. Moreover, he will conduct discussions with representatives from China Aid, emphasizing closer collaboration between the two nations. This event is anticipated to mark a milestone in diplomatic relations, further solidifying the bond between Pakistan and China.
