Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has conveyed greetings to the leadership and citizens of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Kingdom’s 96th National Day. He highlighted the significance of Saudi National Day as a time to celebrate the Kingdom’s unity, progress, and development.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani’s message emphasized the strong ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, rooted in shared faith and mutual respect. He described Saudi Arabia as a steadfast ally, noting a recent strategic mutual defense agreement as evidence of the enduring strength of bilateral relations. Gilani expressed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including parliamentary, economic, and cultural domains.
Gilani also conveyed hopes for continued collaboration between the two nations in promoting peace and prosperity within the Muslim community, and he prayed for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing progress and the strengthening of ties between the two countries.
