New York: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina during a meeting with Dr. Denis Becirovic, Chairman of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency. The meeting, held in New York, focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in trade and economic cooperation.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, highlighting the significance of a stable and prosperous Bosnia for regional stability. He noted that Pakistan views Bosnia as a strategic hub for facilitating trade and connectivity with European and Western Balkan markets.

Dr. Becirovic acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions to mediating peace efforts in West Asia and the Gulf region and endorsed Pakistan’s stance on the Indus Waters Treaty. The discussions also covered political, economic, defense, skilled labor mobility, education, and cultural exchanges, with both sides engaging in a candid dialogue on mutual regional and international concerns.
